Join the 2026–2027 Team!

It’s TIME!! We are gearing up for another season of Performance Teams!

Here’s what you need to know: 

• This year we’re doing “call outs” where anyone interested in participating in a performance team can come try learning some choreography, get all their questions answered, and give us their rehearsal availability. This will also help us get an idea of how many folks are interested in participating, so that we can build the appropriate number of teams and group folks together with their peers. 

• The team “season” is October through February, culminating in a bunch of local performances and participating in the Team Competition at Dayton Swing Smackdown February 26–28, 2027. 

• Rehearsals are typically 1 weeknight per week but require individual practice outside of rehearsals. There will also be optional “open studio” time available weekly for team members to utilize for their own practice. 

• Performance teams are geared towards dancers who currently attend advanced plus classes up through the most advanced dancers in our local community. 

• You will learn an original choreography designed for your team choreographed and coached by two Traffic Jam! Swing instructors.
